TV channels chart
I’m not quite sure what you would call this infographic. But I like it.
It portrays the ups and downs of the four major TV channels over a year.
When I see how very prominent and successful these infographics now are, I renew my excitement about their potential in education. There’s no real need to keep changing the content of the curriculum but, instead, look at the format in which it is communicated.
That doesn’t mean simply switching streams of syntax from paper to screen. Not much changes that way.
No, the real difference will be made by switching from a syntax–heavy mode to a visual–syntax combination.

Yes,
I have been reading recently Nancy Duartes excellent book on presentatiions called slide ology. One of the first principals of great slide design is simplicity, getting your point to the audience in the quickest and most direct route. To this end Nancy's book, offers pages of differing types of organising principals (info graphics) to allow the reader to build presentations that cut through the information, and present it in a format easily digested by an audience. Nancy designs presentations for Steve Jobs, Cisco and you may of seen her work in the movie an inconvenient truth, which won an Oscar, for a presentation! All from the power of sharing information, best done with info graphics.
